Placement Test Support
Placement Test
All students who intend to study any Major on offer at any of the existing faculties at MU must sit for MU Entrance Placement Test to assess the level of skills and aptitudes in Arabic, English, and Math. French placement test is required as well for the Translation and Languages Department.
Despite some external tests (e.g. IELTS, TOEFL, SAT, etc...) are recognized by the University and thus are exempted from certain test areas (provided adequate scores are achieved), students are still required to sit for part or all the MU Entrance Placement Tests.
The faculties expect students to be at a level of confidence in all the aforementioned skills and aptitudes before taking on the courses classified as core, major, and technical electives. This condition is essential for having students excelling and getting engaged with the material delivered in the lecture-room, over the Internet, and in the independent study sessions.
The remedial program consists of a series of progressive courses where each one of them can be a point of entry for the students depending on the results of the entrance placement test.
